Hafezzi Charitable Society provides medical services to underprivileged tribes

Dhaka’s ‘Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh’ has organized a free medical camp among the hilly Mro community in Chaikshang, a remote hilly area of ​​Alikadam upazila in Bandarban district.

About 500 hilly underprivileged tribal families, including women and children, received free treatment and medicines in the medical camp held on Monday at the grounds of As’ad Academy, the only educational institution in the area.

The organization’s Director General Muhammad Raj said that a team of 11 people, including three specialist doctors and three nurses, went from Dhaka and provided relentless service to the patients from morning to evening. He said that Hafezzi Charitable will now provide regular medical services to this backward community.

Camp doctor Nazmus Shakib (MBBS) said that although they have provided many medical services before, this medical camp was different. The experience of seeing so many patients of different languages ​​and cultures is truly a joy. He thanked and expressed his gratitude to Hafezzi Charitable for providing him with such an opportunity to serve and called for more such events in the future. Also present were Dr. Mahmudul Hasan Niloy (MBBS) and Saidul Alam Malik (MBBS), Tanvir Ahmad (Nursing Officer, PG Hospital).

Service recipient Chiang Mu Ming Mro said through an interpreter that at the age of 78, he had seen such a free medical camp and medicine distribution program for the first time.

It is worth noting that three interpreters were on duty to facilitate the doctor’s conversation with the patients. About 500 underprivileged hill tribal families, including women and children, received free treatment and medicine in this medical camp held on the grounds of the organization As’ad Academy.
