Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh, a Bangladeshi clerics’ service organization, has stood by the Palestinians with an aid of about one crore taka. This aid is being delivered to Palestinian refugee camps in Egypt, Gaza and Khan Younis.

A six-member team of the organization arrived in Egypt on November 19. The team includes the organization’s director Naw Muslim Muhammad Raj, executive director Professor Amirul Islam, vice-president Dr. Mashiur Rahman, general secretary Maulana Ibrahim Khalil, Mufti Tauhidul Islam, and associate director for health Maulana Imran Nafis. The organization’s director Naw Muslim Muhammad Raj said that fifty-two thousand people have taken refuge in Egypt since the war in Palestine began. We have provided them with emergency aid on a limited scale before.

Executive director Professor Amirul Islam said that our aid is not new. We have already provided medical assistance to fifty patients at the ‘Rat Crescent Hospital’ and ‘Mahad Nasir Hospital’ in Egypt. This time, we have come to Egypt to provide assistance on a wider scale. In addition to distributing cash, we are providing assistance of 19.5 million taka to 200 families in Palestine during this visit. In addition, we are providing medical assistance of 500,000 taka to the injured and sick, 300,000 taka to Palestinian students of Al-Azhar, and 250,000 taka to alleviate poverty. We are also distributing food and water worth 200,000 taka to Khan Yunis and 500,000 taka to the refugee camps in Egypt, and distributing winter clothes at a cost of 500,000 taka, Alhamdulillah. Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh (Team HCSB) is a government-registered non-profit and non-political service organization. It is run under the supervision of the country’s top scholars.
