Who We Are: A Few Words About Team Hafezzi

Team Hafezzi is a diverse group of volunteers comprising professors, lecturers, doctors, Maulanas, Muftis, lawyers, journalists, businessmen, and passionate youth. Operating under the Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh, a government-registered organization, we are driven by trust and dedication.

Unlike many organizations, none of our committee members or executives receive salaries. Every member serves voluntarily, driven by the sole purpose of helping others, Alhamdulillah.

Hafezzi Charitable Society’s Visits to Egypt

First Visit (November, 2024)

A delegation of Hafezzi Charitable Society (HCSB) traveled to Egypt to oversee activities inside Gaza and visit Palestinian refugee camps. Meetings were held with Palestinian Ambassador Diab Allouh, Bangladeshi Ambassador Samina Naz, and Red Crescent Hospital’s PR & Administrative Officer Ahmad Manzoor, who highly appreciated our work and shared valuable guidance.

According to Egyptian government sources, about 120,000 refugees entered through the Rafah border. With the support of both the Palestinian and Bangladeshi embassies, HCSB provided humanitarian aid worth over 10 million BDT (approx. 1 crore taka) to thousands of families.

Additionally, with the cooperation of scholars, Palestinian brother Al-Tatada, and the World One Ummah Foundation, volunteer teams were formed inside Gaza to carry out relief operations. Partnerships were also established with Al-Azhar University Charity Trust. Our Palestinian brothers, wearing HCSB uniforms and carrying our banners, continue to serve courageously despite the ongoing war.

Second Visit (March, 2025)

On March 9, the Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt, Diab Allouh, warmly welcomed Team Hafezzi at his office and held a one-hour meeting. He assured full cooperation in all humanitarian activities, like an elder brother supporting our mission.

During this visit, refugee camps were inspected, and financial assistance worth hundreds of thousands of taka was provided to several families. This journey also helped HCSB finalize plans for the next phase of the Emergency Gaza Aid Project.

Third Visit (Agust 2025)

For the third time, driven by the plight of Gazans, Team Hafezzi visited Egypt. The Bangladeshi students of the world-renowned Al-Azhar University received the delegation with immense love.

The main objectives of this visit were:

• To initiate a new chapter of service for the oppressed people of Gaza.

• To provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees and injured brothers and sisters in Egypt.

• To visit Al-Majd Academy, established for more than 450 orphans and refugee children arriving through the Rafah border.

This delegation was led by Mufti Mahfuzul Haque (Hafizahullah), Secretary General of BEFAQ and President of HCSB. Other members included:

Our Mission to Support Gaza: Key Highlights

Reconstruction of mosques and madrasas in Gaza

By the grace of Allah, the joint initiative of Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh and World One Ummah Foundation has started the reconstruction of mosques and madrasas in Gaza, Alhamdulillah.
The famous school of Gaza is Madrasatu Umar Ibnul Khattab RA. And next to it, a beautiful mosque used to be beautiful. Which is now nothing but burnt coal. By starting the reconstruction of this madrasa and mosque, they have started their mosque reconstruction program. With their joint initiative, every mosque in Gaza will become suitable for worship again, Insha Allah.

Helping Refugees in Egypt

With over 120,000 Gazan refugees seeking shelter in Egypt, we took swift action. Collaborating with the Ambassadors of Palestine and Bangladesh in Egypt, we provided aid worth over 10 million BDT to thousands of families, Alhamdulillah.

Building a Volunteer Network in Gaza

We partnered with scholars and Palestinian leaders, forming a dedicated volunteer team in Gaza’s Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah. These brave individuals carry out relief efforts despite constant dangers, Alhamdulillah.

Relief Activities on the Ground

Financial Assistance to the Wounded

At the Egyptian Red Crescent Hospital, we provided financial aid to war victims, orphans, and refugees. Thousands are enduring inhumane conditions, and we remain committed to their care.

Food Distribution for Refugee Camps

In a state-of-the-art facility, we packed and distributed food packages (each weighing 21 kg) containing 15 essential items to 150 refugee families in Egypt. Despite restrictions on public campaigning, we ensured these supplies reached those in need.

Emergency Medical Aid in Gaza

Alhamdulillah, Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh has become the first Bangladeshi organization officially permitted by the G★za Ministry of Health to provide medical support across 6 hospitals in Gaza.

Our ongoing efforts include:

• Financial assistance

• Distribution of baby food, milk & emergency supplies

• Medical support for the wounded and patients

• Mujammaush Shifa At-Tibbi, West Gaza

• Rantisi Specialized Children’s Hospital, North Gaza

• As-Sadiq Al-Marid Hospital, Central Gaza

• Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital, Central Gaza

• An-Nasser Hospital, South Gaza

• Shuhada Deir Al-Balah Health Center, Deir Al-Balah

We are also extending support to Palestinian refugees in Egypt, including patients admitted to the Egyptian Red Crescent Hospital and other medical facilities, Alhamdulillah.

Supplying Clean Water in Gaza

Recognizing the severe water shortage in Gaza, we prioritized providing clean water. To date, 2,90,000 liters of water have been distributed across five phases in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, and we will continue until the situation stabilizes, InshAllah.

Food Distribution in Gaza

Our team—Hafezzi’s Palestinian brothers—are risking their lives to cook meals inside Gaza. They are preparing food in Hafezzi’s temporary kitchen and distributing it among the hungry brothers and sisters of Gaza. It’s hard to express in words how happy they are after receiving and eating this food. As you already know, due to the severe food crisis in Gaza, the price of food items has increased drastically.

Alhamdulillah, even in such tough conditions, we are trying our best to support the people of Gaza. We are making an effort to provide them with the kind of food they usually eat. Within our capacity, we are also trying to offer different meals on different days to ensure a balance of protein, vitamins, minerals, and all other essential nutrients.

Distribution of vegetable packages in Gaza

According to experts, vitamin deficiency has become serious among the residents of Gaza. As a result, various types of vitamin deficiency-related diseases are being seen. This is a worthy initiative of Team Hafezzi to meet the vitamin needs of the brothers and sisters in Gaza. On the first day, 5 kg vegetable packages were distributed to 696 members in 87 tents. From now on, the distribution of vegetable packages will continue along with water, cooked food, InshaAllah.

Educational Support for Gaza’s Children in Egypt

Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh has reopened Al Majid Model Academy in Egypt, a madrasa that was once closed due to financial constraints. Today, around 500 children from Gaza, who took refuge in Egypt during 2023–25, are studying here.

Key Initiatives:

✔ Classes launched at primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels
✔ A large building rented to ensure a proper learning environment
✔ Palestinian syllabus maintained to keep students connected to their history and homeland
✔ Special focus on Islamic Studies and religious education
✔ Regular coverage of teachers’ salaries, children’s meals, textbooks, and building rent

Outcome:

The eyes of these orphaned and vulnerable children now shine again with hope and confidence. In a discrimination-free environment, they are growing up in the light of education and values.

Distribution of winter clothes among Gazans

Alhamdulillah, winter clothes are being distributed to the small children of Gaza from the mosques renovated by Team Hafezji in Khan Yunus, Gaza. So far, about $2000 worth of winter clothes have been distributed. InshaAllah, the winter clothes distribution program will continue along with our other activities.

Iftar distribution in Gaza

Your hard-earned donations are helping the oppressed brothers and sisters of Gaza break their fast. On your behalf, Team Hafezzi has distributed iftar to an average of 1,200 to 1,500 people every day in different parts of Gaza during Ramadan. Iftar has been distributed to approximately 39,810 people throughout Ramadan. We are trying to put 8 to 10 items of food in each package, as the average cost of food in Gaza is $200 to $210 per day due to the high price of food. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

Distribution of love in Gaza on Eid al-Fitr

On Eid, we were able to distribute love to 897 families in 3 spots in Gaza! We distributed children’s clothes, food, chocolates and toys. We distributed food and various daily necessities in the tents. A little smile from each of them felt happier than the whole world to us. A fragment of our large program is shown in this documentary.

Setting up tents in Gaza

Destruction continues — every moment, when rows and piles of bodies lie scattered, Team Hafezzi is building tents in Gaza to provide shelter for innocent homeless children and helpless families.

In the first phase, we have established “Hafezzi Camp” by constructing 65 tents to give shelter to 500 oppressed families in Gaza.

InshaAllah, Team Hafezzi is determined to ensure that every displaced person in Gaza finds a place to rest their head.
