Who We Are: A Few Words About Team Hafezzi

Team Hafezzi is a diverse group of volunteers comprising professors, lecturers, doctors, Maulanas, Muftis, lawyers, journalists, businessmen, and passionate youth. Operating under the Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh, a government-registered organization, we are driven by trust and dedication.

Unlike many organizations, none of our committee members or executives receive salaries. Every member serves voluntarily, driven by the sole purpose of helping others, Alhamdulillah.

Our Egypt Visit

On November 19, 2024, a team of us went to Egypt to monitor our ongoing activities in the Palestinian refugee camps in Egypt and inside Gaza. There, we met with the Palestinian Ambassador Mr. Diab Allu, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Egypt Ms. Samina Naz, the Public Relations and Administrative Officer of the Red Crescent Hospital Mr. Ahmad Manzur, and many others. They were very happy to see our work. They gave important suggestions on how we can easily manage our activities and expressed their gratitude to the Hafezji Charitable Society.

We have learned from the information of the Egyptian government that about 120,000 Gazan brothers, sisters, and children have taken refuge in Egypt through the Rafah border there. Out of them, we have provided more than 10 million taka to thousands of families with the support of the Ambassador of the Palestinian Embassy in Egypt and the Ambassador of Bangladesh in Egypt, Alhamdulillah!

In addition, from there, with the help of the scholars, the Palestinian brother in Egypt, Mr. Al Tatada, who is in charge of the service activities in Gaza, and the World One Ummah Foundation in Egypt, we have formed a volunteer team with Palestinian brothers in Gaza, Deir Al Balah and Khan Yunus in Gaza, Alhamdulillah. Through them, our work is going on one after another in Gaza, Alhamdulillah. You will be happy to know that we are also working with the Charity Trust of the famous Al-Azhar University in Egypt in cooperation with the oppressed in Gaza, Alhamdulillah.

In the video of each activity, our banner, uniform, and commentary from there, our team of Palestinian brothers in Gaza is working without fearing for their lives, Alhamdulillah. We are uploading videos, pictures, and commentary of our activities done in cooperation with them on our page and website, which you are watching. Alhamdulillah, our activities will continue until the war ends, Insha’Allah.

Our Second Egypt Visit

Alhamdulillah, on March 7th, a delegation of Team Hafezzi visited Egypt again. On March 9th, we were invited to the embassy by the Honorable Ambassador of the Palestinian Embassy in Egypt, Mr. Diab Allu. At 11 am, the Ambassador himself welcomed Team Hafezzi and held an important hour-long meeting. During this time, he expressed his firm determination to provide any kind of assistance in the service work and assured all kinds of cooperation as an elder brother.

Since our arrival, we have been visiting the refugee camps here. Our eyes are constantly watering seeing their inhumane life and crying. We have already provided millions of taka to several families and we will continue to extend our helping hand throughout the entire visit, Insha Allah.

We hope that this visit will help us to adopt the next plan for the emergency Gaza aid project.

Our Mission to Support Gaza: Key Highlights

Reconstruction of mosques and madrasas in Gaza

By the grace of Allah, the joint initiative of Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh and World One Ummah Foundation has started the reconstruction of mosques and madrasas in Gaza, Alhamdulillah.
The famous school of Gaza is Madrasatu Umar Ibnul Khattab RA. And next to it, a beautiful mosque used to be beautiful. Which is now nothing but burnt coal. By starting the reconstruction of this madrasa and mosque, they have started their mosque reconstruction program. With their joint initiative, every mosque in Gaza will become suitable for worship again, Insha Allah.

Helping Refugees in Egypt

With over 120,000 Gazan refugees seeking shelter in Egypt, we took swift action. Collaborating with the Ambassadors of Palestine and Bangladesh in Egypt, we provided aid worth over 10 million BDT to thousands of families, Alhamdulillah.

Building a Volunteer Network in Gaza

We partnered with scholars and Palestinian leaders, forming a dedicated volunteer team in Gaza’s Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah. These brave individuals carry out relief efforts despite constant dangers, Alhamdulillah.

Collaborating with Al-Azhar University

Through the prestigious Al-Azhar University Charity Trust, we have extended our support to Gaza’s oppressed communities. Every activity is documented with videos and photos, ensuring transparency for our donors, Alhamdulillah.

Relief Activities on the Ground

Financial Assistance to the Wounded

At the Egyptian Red Crescent Hospital, we provided financial aid to war victims, orphans, and refugees. Thousands are enduring inhumane conditions, and we remain committed to their care.

Food Distribution for Refugee Camps

In a state-of-the-art facility, we packed and distributed food packages (each weighing 21 kg) containing 15 essential items to 150 refugee families in Egypt. Despite restrictions on public campaigning, we ensured these supplies reached those in need.

Iftar distribution in Gaza

Your hard-earned donations are helping the oppressed brothers and sisters of Gaza break their fast. On your behalf, Team Hafezzi is distributing Iftar to an average of 1,000 people every day in different parts of Gaza during Ramadan. In the last 14 days, Iftar has been distributed to about 1,400 people. We are trying to put 8 to 10 items of food in each package, due to the high price of food in Gaza, the average cost is 200 to 210 dollars per day. We will continue to distribute Iftar in this way until the end of Ramadan, God willing. Your prayers and cooperation are highly appreciated.

Supplying Clean Water in Gaza

Recognizing the severe water shortage in Gaza, we prioritized providing clean water. To date, 80,000 liters of water have been distributed across five phases in Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, and we will continue until the situation stabilizes, InshAllah.

Cooked Food for Starving Families

Our Palestinian brothers in Gaza, risking their lives, have cooked and distributed meals to families facing hunger. Just two days ago, we provided chicken meat worth 10 lakh BDT, bringing relief to countless families, Alhamdulillah.

Distribution of vegetable packages in Gaza

According to experts, vitamin deficiency has become serious among the residents of Gaza. As a result, various types of vitamin deficiency-related diseases are being seen. This is a worthy initiative of Team Hafezzi to meet the vitamin needs of the brothers and sisters in Gaza. On the first day, 5 kg vegetable packages were distributed to 696 members in 87 tents. From now on, the distribution of vegetable packages will continue along with water, cooked food, InshaAllah.

Distribution of winter clothes among Gazans

Alhamdulillah, winter clothes are being distributed to the small children of Gaza from the mosques renovated by Team Hafezji in Khan Yunus, Gaza. So far, about $2000 worth of winter clothes have been distributed. InshaAllah, the winter clothes distribution program will continue along with our other activities.
